# Ingredients Required:

→ Roots

01 - 125 grams fresh turmeric root, rinsed with peel
02 - 65 grams fresh ginger root, rinsed with peel

→ Liquids and Flavorings

03 - 1 liter coconut water or filtered water
04 - Juice of 1 lemon
05 - 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to taste

→ Spices

06 - Pinch of black pepper

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Wash turmeric and ginger roots thoroughly, keeping the skin on. Grate, thinly slice, or finely chop both roots if using a blender. If using a juicer, trim roots and cut into approximately 5 cm pieces.
02 - Combine grated, sliced, or chopped turmeric and ginger with 500 ml of water in a blender. Blend at high speed until smooth, approximately 1 minute.
03 - Transfer blended mixture into a saucepan and add the remaining 500 ml coconut water or filtered water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes.
04 - Stir in lemon juice, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix thoroughly to integrate all ingredients.
05 - Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer, nut milk sack, or muslin cloth into a clean container. Serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled as preferred.
06 - If using a juicer, feed the cleaned turmeric and ginger roots through the juicer when motor is running. Collect the juice and transfer to a saucepan. Follow the simmering and flavoring steps as above.

# Extra Suggestions:
