Mediterranean Shrimp Bake (Printable Version)

Tender shrimp roasted with feta, chiles, garlic, and herbs for a vibrant Mediterranean dish.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Seafood

01 - 450 g large shrimp, deveined, shelled, tails removed

→ Dairy

02 - 450 g feta cheese, cut into 5 cm blocks

→ Vegetables & Aromatics

03 - 8 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 280-340 g cherry tomatoes
05 - 120 g red onion, sliced
06 - 4-5 whole Calabrian chilies
07 - 2 tsp chili oil or 2 tsp crushed Calabrian chilies
08 - 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
09 - Juice of 1/2 lemon

→ Liquids & Seasoning

10 - 60 ml dry white wine
11 - 60 ml extra virgin olive oil
12 - 1/4 tsp dried oregano
13 - Pinch of salt

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Set the oven to 200°C (400°F) and allow it to reach the temperature before cooking.
02 - Devein and shell the shrimp, removing tails if possible. Pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.
03 - In a baking dish suitable for oven use, arrange all feta cheese blocks evenly. Distribute half of the cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, sliced red onions, and whole Calabrian chilies over the feta.
04 - Place shrimp over the layered ingredients, then scatter the remaining cherry tomatoes, garlic, onions, and chilies on top.
05 - Pour dry white wine and extra virgin olive oil evenly over the dish. Sprinkle dried oregano, chopped parsley, lemon juice, and add a generous pinch of salt.
06 - Bake uncovered for 15 to 17 minutes for medium to large shrimp or 20 to 22 minutes for extra-large shrimp until shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
07 - Remove from oven and serve immediately, optionally accompanied by crusty bread to soak up the juices.
