Sweet Harry Potter Pumpkin Pasties (Printable Version)

# Ingredients Required:

→ Filling

01 - 480 ml pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
02 - 200 g brown sugar
03 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
04 - 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
05 - 1/4 tsp ground ginger
06 - 1/4 tsp salt

→ Pastry

07 - 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
08 - 1 large egg (optional, for egg wash)

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
02 - Preheat oven to 190°C. On a lightly floured surface, unroll pie crusts and cut into 10-12 cm diameter circles using a round cutter.
03 - Place one tablespoon of filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold dough over to form a half-moon shape and firmly seal edges by pressing with a fork.
04 - Arrange pasties on a parchment-lined baking sheet. If desired, brush with beaten egg for a glossy finish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
05 - Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm to enjoy optimal flavor.

01 - For a crisper crust, chill assembled pasties in the refrigerator for 15 minutes prior to baking.
