Halloumi Avocado Toast (Printable Version)

Golden grilled halloumi and creamy avocado on toasted sourdough, garnished with fresh herbs and chili flakes.

# Ingredients Required:

01 - 2 ripe avocados
02 - 2 tbsp fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley)

03 - 200 g halloumi cheese

04 - 2 slices sourdough bread (100 g)

05 - 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
06 - 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
07 - ½ tsp chili flakes

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Slice avocados in half, remove the pits, and set aside.
02 - Toast sourdough slices until golden brown and crisp.
03 - Heat extra virgin olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Slice halloumi into thick slabs and grill until golden brown on both sides, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
04 - In a bowl, mash the avocado flesh with lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
05 - Spread the avocado mixture generously over the toasted sourdough slices. Top each with grilled halloumi slabs.
06 - Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle fresh herbs and chili flakes over the top before serving.
