Crispy Homemade Apple Chips (Printable Version)

Thinly sliced apples baked until crisp and seasoned with cinnamon for a healthy snack.

# Ingredients Required:

01 - 3 large apples (Gala, Fuji, or Honeycrisp), thinly sliced

→ Spices

02 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Set the oven temperature to 90°C (200°F).
02 - Line two large baking trays with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
03 - Wash and thinly slice the apples to approximately 3 mm thickness using a mandoline slicer, removing seeds from each slice.
04 - Arrange apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets and evenly sprinkle ground cinnamon over both sides.
05 - Bake apple slices for 1 hour at 90°C.
06 - Flip all apple slices over carefully and bake for an additional hour at the same temperature.
07 - Turn off the oven and allow the apple slices to cool inside for about 30 minutes; if not sufficiently crisp, continue baking in 15-minute intervals until desired texture is reached.
08 - Remove the apple chips from trays and serve immediately or store in an airtight container to retain crispness.

01 - For uniform thickness and texture, use a mandoline slicer. Storing in an airtight container preserves crunchiness.
