Break dark chocolate into small pieces and place in a saucepan with unsalted butter and sweetened condensed milk.

Heat over medium-low heat, stirring continuously until the ingredients melt and begin to thicken.

Scrape the bottom of the pan constantly with a heatproof utensil to avoid burning. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens enough to hold a line drawn through it for approximately two seconds, about 10 minutes.

Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.

Once chilled, scoop teaspoon-sized portions (walnut-sized) and roll into smooth balls using your hands.

Roll each ball in vermicelli or other preferred toppings, place in paper liners, and serve.
