Balsamic Chicken Crock Pot (Printable Version)

Tender chicken infused with balsamic vinegar, garlic, and sautéed peppers cooked low and slow in a crock pot.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Oils and Aromatics

01 - 15 milliliters olive oil
02 - 3 cloves garlic, minced

→ Protein

03 - 900 grams boneless, skinless chicken breasts

→ Seasonings and Sauces

04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
06 - 80 milliliters balsamic vinegar of Modena
07 - 25 grams brown sugar
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

→ Vegetables

09 - 1 large yellow onion, sliced
10 - 1 red bell pepper, sliced
11 - 1 green bell pepper, sliced

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Grease the sides and bottom of the crock pot insert with olive oil, then sprinkle minced garlic evenly on the bottom.
02 - Season the chicken breasts with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the crock pot.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar and brown sugar until fully combined. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
04 - Top the chicken with sliced onions, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
05 - Cover with a lid and cook on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
06 - Remove the lid and transfer the chicken breasts to a cutting board. Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the crock pot. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve.
