Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs (Printable Version)

Golden apple bombs air fried to crisp perfection, filled with cinnamon-spiced apples and coated in buttery sugar.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Biscuit Dough

01 - 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits (not flaky layers)

→ Apple Filling

02 - 240 ml apple pie filling, diced
03 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon

→ Sugar Coating

04 - 150 g granulated sugar
05 - 3 tsp apple pie spice

→ Finishing

06 - 120 ml unsalted butter, melted

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine granulated sugar and apple pie spice; mix thoroughly and set aside to use as a coating after cooking.
02 - Remove biscuits from the can and carefully separate each into two layers, creating 16 pieces; press each layer into a 10 cm diameter circle using your fingers to form a flat base for filling.
03 - In a small bowl, mix diced apple pie filling with ground cinnamon until the spice is evenly incorporated to enhance warmth and flavor.
04 - Place approximately 15 ml of apple cinnamon filling in the center of each biscuit circle; fold dough edges over the filling and pinch to seal completely, then gently roll each into a ball.
05 - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray; arrange apple bombs in batches, leaving about 5 cm spacing; spray tops with cooking spray; air fry at 175°C for 8–9 minutes until golden brown, rotating basket halfway for even cooking.
06 - Remove hot apple bombs from the air fryer, dip each thoroughly in melted butter, then immediately roll in the spiced sugar mixture until evenly coated, creating a sweet aromatic crust.
07 - Serve the apple bombs warm for optimal texture and gooey filling, or allow to cool to room temperature before serving.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Rotating the air fryer basket halfway through cooking ensures even browning and crispness.
