Stuffed Italian Meatloaf (Printable Version)

Savory meatloaf stuffed with ricotta, spinach, mozzarella and baked with rich marinara sauce.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Meatloaf Base

01 - 900 g ground beef
02 - 120 g Italian-style breadcrumbs
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 120 ml whole milk
05 - 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
06 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
07 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
09 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
10 - 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
11 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Filling

12 - 170 g shredded mozzarella cheese
13 - 250 g ricotta cheese
14 - 100 g sautéed spinach, drained
15 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
16 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ Finishing

17 - 360 ml marinara sauce
18 - 60 g shredded mozzarella cheese
19 - Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Set the oven temperature to 190°C (375°F).
02 - In a large bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Parmesan, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper.
03 - In a separate bowl, mix ricotta, shredded mozzarella, sautéed spinach, garlic powder, and salt until evenly incorporated.
04 - Press half of the meat mixture into a loaf pan, spread the filling evenly over it, then layer the remaining meat mixture on top and smooth the surface.
05 - Bake the meatloaf for 45 minutes at 190°C.
06 - Remove the meatloaf from the oven, spread marinara sauce over the top, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella, then return to bake for an additional 15 minutes.
07 - Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
