Berry Lemonade Summer (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 1/2 cups thawed frozen mixed berries or 2 cups fresh berries like raspberries, blueberries, blackberries
02 - 1 tablespoon lemon zest, grated real fine
03 - 1 cup white sugar
04 - 1 cup lemon juice, squeezed fresh
05 - 4 cups water, keep a little aside

# How to Make It:

01 - Pour your berry lemonade into a big pitcher, pop it in the fridge till cold, then pour over ice when you’re ready to drink.
02 - Stir in your strained berry blend, any leftover berry juices, the last of your water, and the rest of your cooled lemon mix. Mix it up so it’s all even.
03 - Use a mesh strainer to get the seeds out of your berry blend. Toss the solid bits you catch.
04 - Take a cup of your cooled lemony mix, toss it and the berries into your blender, and whiz it together till it’s smooth.
05 - Mix lemon juice and lemon zest straight into the hot syrup, then just let that cool off till it’s no longer warm.
06 - In a large pot, heat sugar and 2 cups water, giving it a stir here and there. Let it hit a good boil for two minutes. Kill the heat after that.
07 - For frozen berries, put them in a strainer over a bowl until they’re all thawed out. Save any juice that comes out at the bottom.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Really want a clear drink? Make sure you get all those little berry bits out when you strain.
