Sausage Sweet Potatoes Garlic (Printable Version)

You’ll simmer sausage and sweet potatoes in a honey garlic glaze for an easy, cozy dinner the whole crew will love.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Main Components

01 - 2 big sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 2 cm chunks
02 - 1 lb chicken or Italian sausage

→ Sauce and Seasonings

03 - A splash of olive oil, about a tablespoon
04 - Salt to your liking
05 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
06 - A few twists of black pepper
07 - 1/4 cup honey
08 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
09 - 3 garlic cloves, chopped up

→ Garnish

10 - Chopped fresh parsley

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Spoon everything onto plates and scatter some parsley on top right before you eat.
02 - Drench the sausage and sweet potatoes with your sauce. Pop a lid on and let it cook for 10 minutes, just until a fork slides through the potatoes easily.
03 - Mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper together in a bowl until smooth.
04 - Drop in the chopped sweet potatoes with your browned sausage, keep things moving in the pan, and cook another 5 minutes.
05 - Pour olive oil into a big skillet and warm her up over medium heat. Toss in the sausage, cook until you see a nice brown color all over—usually 5 to 7 minutes.
06 - Chop up your peeled sweet potatoes into even cubes, each about 2 cm wide, so they’ll cook at the same pace.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Swap in tamari for soy sauce if you want to keep things wheat-free.
02 - Leftovers? Toss them in a sealed container. They’ll last up to 3 days in the fridge, or stash them in the freezer for as long as 2 months.
03 - Try butternut squash and turkey sausage for something new.
