Fresh Strawberry Pie Delight (Printable Version)

# Ingredients Required:

→ Crust

01 - 1 pre-made 23 cm pie crust

→ Filling

02 - 600 g fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
03 - 200 g granulated sugar
04 - 30 g cornstarch
05 - 1.25 ml salt
06 - 240 ml water
07 - 15 ml lemon juice
08 - 14 g unsalted butter (optional)

→ Topping

09 - Whipped cream to taste (optional)

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Bake the pre-made crust according to package instructions, approximately 10 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and salt until uniformly blended.
03 - In a saucepan, stir the sugar mixture with water and lemon juice over medium heat. Continuously stir until the mixture thickens and bubbles, about 3 to 5 minutes.
04 - Remove from heat, add butter if using, and stir until melted. Allow to cool slightly off heat.
05 - Gently fold hulled and halved strawberries into the cooled glaze until thoroughly coated.
06 - Pour the strawberry mixture evenly into the cooled pre-baked crust.
07 - Refrigerate the assembled pie for at least 2 hours to allow setting before serving.
08 - Slice and serve chilled with whipped cream if desired.
