Strawberry Nutella Toasts (Printable Version)

Golden sourdough loaded up with silky Nutella, juicy berries, and crispy walnuts. It's a simple, sweet snack.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Toppings

01 - 1/4 cup walnuts, toasted then chopped
02 - 2 cups strawberries, chopped up

→ Spread

03 - 1/3 cup Nutella spread
04 - 4 ounces cream cheese (should be soft)

→ Base

05 - 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
06 - 8 slices of sourdough, cut about 1/2 inch thick

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Dish these out right away so everyone gets the best flavors and crunch.
02 - Slather each piece of cooled bread with the Nutella and cream cheese mix. Then, toss on the chopped strawberries. Sprinkle those nuts on top last.
03 - Beat the Nutella and softened cream cheese until you can't see any lumps and everything looks creamy. You can use a hand or stand mixer with paddle, whatever's handy.
04 - Pull the hot bread from the oven and let it cool right on a rack. Don't rush this part.
05 - Lay out your bread on the lined tray, making sure the buttered side faces up. Pop it in the oven for around five minutes until they're a nice golden brown.
06 - Crank your oven up to 400°F. Put some parchment on a baking tray.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For extra nutty flavor, toss the walnuts in a plain skillet over medium heat a couple minutes and keep 'em moving until they smell awesome.
