Sausage Pancake Bake (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - Soft butter or cooking spray for greasing your pan
02 - Cheddar cheese, shredded, 115g—totally your call
03 - Cinnamon, 0.5 teaspoon, use if you want a hint
04 - Maple syrup, 2 tablespoons, sweet touch if you like
05 - Melted butter, 2 tablespoons
06 - Vanilla, 1 teaspoon
07 - 1 big egg
08 - Whole milk, 240ml
09 - Pancake mix, 240g
10 - Breakfast sausage, 450g, pick spicy or regular

# How to Make It:

01 - Let your finished dish chill for 5 minutes. Slice it up, serve while it's warm, and pour on some maple syrup if you feel like it.
02 - Slide the casserole onto the middle oven rack. Let it cook for 25-30 minutes. The top should look golden brown and a toothpick poked in comes out clean.
03 - Pour in half your pancake mix batter into the pan you already prepped. Spread all the sausage over it. Sprinkle as much cheese as you want, then cover it up with the last bit of batter so everything's tucked in.
04 - In a big bowl, whisk together pancake mix, milk, egg, vanilla, melted butter, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Just mix until it's blended—don't worry about lumps, and don't over-stir or it won't be soft.
05 - Crumble sausage into a pan set on medium heat. Cook while breaking it up until it's browned. Drain away the leftover grease.
06 - Grease up every inch of a 23x33cm pan with butter or a spray, making sure it's covered all over.
07 - Heat your oven to 190°C. Wait till it's fully up to temp before doing anything else.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Keep that pancake batter just barely mixed—if you go too far, it's not gonna be soft and fluffy.
