# Ingredients Required:

01 - 454 g breakfast sausage, bulk or links with casings removed
02 - 8 large eggs
03 - 480 ml whole milk
04 - 240 g pancake mix
05 - 60 ml pure maple syrup
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
10 - Cooking spray or butter, for greasing

11 - Fresh fruit such as blueberries or sliced bananas
12 - Whipped cream
13 - Additional maple syrup for serving

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Heat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 23x33 cm (9x13 inch) baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking it into crumbles until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside.
03 - In a large bowl, combine the pancake mix with required liquids and eggs to form batter. Mix gently until just combined. Incorporate maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking powder (if using), salt, and cinnamon (if using).
04 - Pour half of the pancake batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly. Sprinkle the cooked sausage over the batter. Cover with the remaining batter, spreading gently to cover the sausage.
05 - Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
06 - Let cool slightly before slicing into squares. Serve warm with additional maple syrup and desired toppings.
