Quick cheese sauce (Printable Version)

A quick, creamy cheese sauce made smooth by melting cheddar with butter and milk in the microwave.

# Ingredients Required:

01 - 14 g unsalted butter
02 - 120 ml whole milk
03 - 56 g shredded cheddar cheese

→ Dry Ingredients

04 - 8 g all-purpose flour
05 - Salt to taste
06 - 0.25 g smoked paprika

07 - Pinch of orange food coloring

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl and melt completely in the microwave.
02 - Whisk in the all-purpose flour thoroughly until a smooth paste forms.
03 - Gradually add whole milk and shredded cheddar cheese while whisking to combine evenly.
04 - Heat mixture in 30 to 40 second intervals, whisking after each interval until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
05 - Season with salt and smoked paprika. Add orange food coloring if desired and mix well.
