Loaded Brava’s Tots (Printable Version)

Crispy tater tot cups with smoky bravas sauce, manchego cheese, bacon, and fresh herbs for a flavorful bite.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Tater Tot Cups

01 - 48 frozen tater tots (approximately 454 grams)
02 - Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

→ Bravas Sauce

03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon sweet smoked paprika
07 - 1/2 teaspoon hot smoked paprika
08 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, adjust to taste)
09 - 240 milliliters tomato purée
10 - 60 grams roasted red peppers, finely chopped
11 - 1 teaspoon sugar
12 - 1 teaspoon sherry vinegar
13 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Toppings

14 - 100 grams manchego cheese, shredded (or cheddar as a substitute)
15 - 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional for vegetarians)
16 - 120 milliliters sour cream or garlic aioli
17 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or chives, chopped
18 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, for garnish

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Preheat the oven to 220°C. Grease a mini muffin tin thoroughly using cooking spray or olive oil.
02 - Place two frozen tater tots into each muffin cup. Bake for 10 minutes to soften the tots.
03 - Remove the muffin tin from the oven and press the softened tots into a cup shape with a spoon or small glass.
04 - Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cups are golden brown and crispy.

01 - Adjust cayenne pepper quantity to control heat level. For a vegetarian option, omit bacon and substitute sour cream with a vegan alternative.
