Copycat Subway Italian Herb Bread (Printable Version)

# Ingredients Required:

01 - 440 grams all-purpose flour
02 - 12 grams sugar
03 - 10 grams salt
04 - 12 grams Italian seasoning
05 - 7 grams active dry yeast

→ Wet Ingredients

06 - 240 milliliters warm water (45°C)
07 - 30 milliliters olive oil

→ Topping

08 - 100 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
09 - 8 grams grated Parmesan cheese
10 - 5 grams Italian seasoning
11 - 15 milliliters olive oil (for brushing)

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast in a small bowl. Stir gently and let rest for 5 minutes until frothy.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and Italian seasoning. Create a well in the center.
03 - Pour yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour well. Stir until combined, then knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
04 - Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
05 - Punch down dough and turn onto floured surface. Roll into a rectangle approximately 30 cm long by 15 cm wide.
06 - Brush dough with olive oil. Evenly sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning over the top. Press gently to adhere.
07 - Cover dough and let rise another 30 minutes.
08 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Bake dough for 25-30 minutes until top is golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
09 - Allow bread to cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
