Hobo Casserole Ground Beef (Printable Version)

# Ingredients Required:

01 - 454 g ground beef

→ Vegetables

02 - 4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced (approximately 600-700 g)
03 - 1 medium onion, chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

05 - 15 mL olive oil
06 - 120 mL beef broth
07 - 60 mL milk (optional)

→ Spices & Seasonings

08 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
09 - ½ tsp paprika
10 - Salt and black pepper to taste

→ Cheese

11 - 170 g shredded cheddar cheese
12 - 50 g grated Parmesan cheese

→ Garnish

13 - Fresh parsley

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Set the oven to 190°C (375°F) to preheat.
02 - Thinly slice the potatoes to approximately 6 mm (¼ inch) thickness.
03 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and softened.
04 - Add ground beef to the skillet, season with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper, then cook until evenly browned.
05 - Grease a baking dish and arrange half of the potato slices evenly on the bottom.
06 - Spread half of the cooked ground beef over the potato layer, then sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese atop the beef.
07 - Add the remaining potatoes and beef, sprinkle the rest of the cheddar cheese, then pour the beef broth and optional milk evenly over the layers.
08 - Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
09 - Remove the foil, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until the surface turns golden brown.
10 - Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving, then garnish with fresh parsley.
