Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

In the same skillet, combine heavy cream and broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Stir in Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and smoked paprika. Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens slightly, about 3 to 4 minutes.

Place cooked shrimp evenly in a baking dish. Pour the garlic cream sauce over the shrimp. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs if using.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the topping is golden and bubbly.
