Garlic Breadsticks Classic (Printable Version)

Golden breadsticks brushed with garlic butter for a soft, flavorful bite.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Dough

01 - 7 g active dry yeast
02 - 355 ml warm water
03 - 12 g granulated sugar
04 - 375 g all-purpose flour
05 - 5 g salt
06 - 30 ml olive oil

→ Garlic Butter Topping

07 - 57 g unsalted butter, melted
08 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 2.5 g garlic powder

→ Optional Garnishes

10 - Chopped parsley
11 - Shredded mozzarella cheese

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Combine warm water and sugar in a large bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top and let stand 5–10 minutes until foam appears.
02 - Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
03 - Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise in a warm area for 1 hour until doubled in volume.
04 - Deflate dough and divide into 12 to 14 portions. Roll each piece into a rope and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
05 - Let shaped dough rest for 20 minutes to rise. Meanwhile, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and garlic powder.
06 - Brush half of the garlic butter mixture over the breadsticks before baking.
07 - Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
08 - Brush remaining garlic butter over hot breadsticks and garnish with parsley or mozzarella if desired. Serve immediately.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Using warm water activates yeast effectively; do not exceed 43°C as high heat can kill yeast.
