Simple Two-Ingredient Biscuits (Printable Version)

Just mix self-rising flour with milk and you'll have feather-light biscuits in no time. Done in 20 minutes and perfect for low-effort breakfasts.

# Ingredients Required:

→ Base

01 - 2 cups (240 g) self-rising flour — swap in gluten-free if that’s your thing

→ Flavor Boosters

02 - 180 ml water, milk (dairy or non-dairy) – your call

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Crank up your oven to 220°C and give it a few minutes to heat.
02 - Pour your flour into a bowl, add your choice of liquid, stir everything just until you get a sticky lump.
03 - Move that dough to a floured surface and squash it a couple of times until it smooths out.
04 - Flatten your dough so it’s about 2.5 cm thick—the same height all over is the trick.
05 - Push a cutter or the rim of a glass into the dough so you get round shapes.
06 - Space out the biscuit rounds on your baking sheet so they each get their own room.
07 - Slide your tray into the hot oven and bake until the tops look golden—about 10 minutes should do it.
08 - Let the biscuits cool for a bit on the counter before grabbing one.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Go with non-dairy milk and gluten-free flour if you want these totally plant-based or wheat-free.
