01 -
Cut the pie once it's rested a bit so it doesn't fall apart. Then dish it out to everyone.
02 -
Slide the pie into your hot oven. Let it bake for about 20-25 minutes till you see that crust is a lovely golden and the cheese is nice and bubbly.
03 -
Lay that second crust on top, crimp the edges to seal up all the good stuff inside. Grab a pastry brush and paint on the melted butter for extra flavor.
04 -
Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella and cheddar (or provolone) over everything. Spread out the leftover pepperoni for that perfect pizza finish.
05 -
Pour the pizza sauce (or your marinara) all over the meat layer. Toss on Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes for that extra kick.
06 -
Scatter half of your mozzarella right on the bottom crust. Toss on the beef and sausage mix, followed by half your pepperoni.
07 -
Gently work one crust into a deep-dish pan or deep skillet. Make sure it's snug so everything fits later.
08 -
Set your oven to 220°C and give it time to get warmed up.
09 -
Get your skillet on medium. Toss in the ground beef and sausage, stirring until it's all cooked through and not pink. Pour off any grease and move the meat aside for now.
