Crispy Tomato Basil Toast (Printable Version)

# Ingredients Required:

01 - 350 grams crusty baguette

→ Topping

02 - 300 grams ripe tomatoes, diced
03 - 15 grams fresh basil leaves, chopped
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 60 milliliters extra virgin olive oil
06 - 30 milliliters balsamic vinegar
07 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Set the oven to 200°C. Slice the baguette diagonally into thick slices approximately 1.5 cm thick.
02 - Arrange the bread slices on a baking tray and toast in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
03 - Combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir gently to blend flavors evenly.
04 - Allow the toasted bread to cool slightly, then generously spoon the tomato mixture over each slice.
05 - Optionally drizzle additional balsamic vinegar over the topped bread and serve warm or at room temperature.
