07 - 15 g fresh basil leaves, torn

→ Seasonings

08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Black pepper, to taste
10 - Optional: 2.5 ml sugar (to balance acidity)

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Heat olive oil or butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking gently until translucent and fragrant to build the flavor base.
02 - Add peeled, chopped tomatoes or canned whole tomatoes along with chicken or vegetable broth. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes until tomatoes soften and flavors blend.
03 - Transfer the tomato mixture to a blender or use an immersion blender to process until smooth and creamy, ensuring a velvety texture.
04 - Return pureed soup to the pot and stir in heavy cream. Add torn fresh basil leaves and season with salt, black pepper, and optionally sugar. Warm over low heat without boiling to prevent curdling.
05 - Taste the soup and adjust seasonings as desired. Add more basil for freshness or extra cream for richness. Serve hot.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Use low heat when adding cream to prevent curdling and maintain a smooth texture.
