07 - 2.5 ml dried oregano

→ Main Ingredients

09 - 410 g canned diced tomatoes
10 - 425 g canned black beans, drained and rinsed
11 - 240 ml corn kernels (fresh, canned, or frozen)
12 - 960 ml chicken broth
13 - 180 g shredded cooked chicken
14 - Juice of 1 lime (approximately 30 ml)
15 - 15 g chopped fresh cilantro

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until translucent. Incorporate minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, paprika, and oregano, stirring continuously for one minute.
02 - Add diced tomatoes, rinsed black beans, corn kernels, and chicken broth to the pot. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.
03 - Incorporate shredded chicken into the pot. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
04 - Mix in lime juice and chopped cilantro. Adjust seasoning by adding salt and pepper to taste.
05 - Ladle soup into serving bowls. Optionally, garnish with crispy tortilla strips and preferred toppings such as avocado, cheese, or sour cream.
