Baked Stuffed Peppers (Printable Version)

Bell peppers filled with seasoned ground beef, rice, tomato sauce, and topped with melted cheddar cheese.

# Ingredients Required:

01 - 4 large bell peppers
02 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

04 - 454 g ground beef

05 - 240 ml cooked rice

06 - 240 ml tomato sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - Salt to taste
09 - Black pepper to taste

10 - 240 ml shredded cheddar cheese

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes. Preheat oven to 190°C.
02 - In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
03 - Stir cooked rice, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper into the beef mixture. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
04 - Fill each hollowed pepper with the beef mixture. Arrange in a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
05 - Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each pepper, and continue baking uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
06 - Allow stuffed peppers to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally garnish with fresh parsley.
