# Ingredients Required:

→ Tart Base

01 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
02 - 1 large egg (for egg wash)

→ Apple Filling

03 - 480 grams Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
04 - 28 grams unsalted butter, melted
05 - 100 grams brown sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
08 - 0.25 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Caramel Drizzle

09 - 120 milliliters prepared caramel sauce, warmed

# Guide to Cooking:

01 - Allow the frozen puff pastry sheet to rest at room temperature while preparing the filling and preheating the oven to 200°C.
02 - Peel the Granny Smith apples and slice them evenly to a thickness between 3 to 6 millimeters.
03 - Combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl. Toss the sliced apples gently in the mixture until fully coated.
04 - Roll out the thawed puff pastry into a 25x30 centimeter rectangle. Score a 4 centimeter border along the edges to create a frame.
05 - Evenly layer the coated apple slices inside the scored border, overlapping slightly to enhance presentation.
06 - Whisk the egg and brush the edges of the pastry to create a golden finish upon baking.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven at 200°C for 18 minutes or until the pastry turns golden brown and crisp.
08 - Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Warm the caramel sauce if necessary and drizzle evenly over the tart.
09 - Slice into six portions and serve immediately. Optionally accompany with vanilla ice cream.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Ensure apples are sliced uniformly for even cooking and presentation.
