Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until combined. Shape into 4 to 6 oval patties.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Sear patties for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked. Transfer patties to the prepared baking dish.

Whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Pour over the patties in the baking dish. Scatter sliced onions and mushrooms evenly on top.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until sauce bubbles and patties are fully cooked.

Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top if desired. Serve warm alongside mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
