Amish Hamburger Steak Bake (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Hamburger Steaks

01 - 1.5 lbs ground beef
02 - 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 1 tsp garlic powder
05 - 1 tsp onion powder
06 - Salt, to taste
07 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Sauce

08 - 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
09 - 0.5 cup milk
10 - 1 small onion, thinly sliced
11 - 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
12 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

→ Topping

13 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
02 - Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until combined. Shape into 4 to 6 oval patties.
03 - Heat a skillet over medium heat. Sear patties for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked. Transfer patties to the prepared baking dish.
04 - Whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Pour over the patties in the baking dish. Scatter sliced onions and mushrooms evenly on top.
05 - Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until sauce bubbles and patties are fully cooked.
06 - Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top if desired. Serve warm alongside mashed potatoes or egg noodles.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For a lower-carb variation, substitute almond flour for the breadcrumbs. Cream of chicken soup may be used instead of mushroom soup.
