Spicy Alabama Crackers (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Seasoning Mix

01 - 3 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
02 - 28 g ranch dressing blend
03 - 0.5 tsp fresh black pepper
04 - 1 tsp onion powder
05 - 1 tsp garlic powder
06 - 120 ml olive oil

→ Base

07 - 450 g saltines

# How to Make It:

01 - Once they're cool, move your crackers to some closed container or serving plate. They’re great for munching or sharing with buddies.
02 - Pull your baking tray out and just leave the crackers alone for a few minutes. Giving them a break helps them crisp up and lock in all that tasty flavor.
03 - Pop the tray in for 15 to 20 minutes. Halfway in, give the crackers a quick stir so they get crunchy all over. Don’t let them get too dark.
04 - Lay out some parchment on your baking sheet. Spread the coated crackers in one layer. Make sure they’re not stacked so they stay lovely and crisp.
05 - Drop in the saltines and carefully toss so everything gets a good flavorful covering. Try not to smash them up.
06 - Grab a big bowl, pour in the oil, toss in your garlic and onion powders, pepper, ranch, and red pepper. Mix until everything’s looking nice and even.
07 - Crank your oven up to 120°C. Keep it a bit lower so the crackers soak up tons of flavor and bake evenly.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Dial down the spiciness by skipping the red pepper flakes, or switch to a little paprika if you just want a mild kick.
02 - Want a deeper taste? Try tossing in a teaspoon of cumin or chili powder with your spice mix.
03 - If you want a bit of creaminess, stir in a spoonful of cream cheese or sour cream with the spices.
04 - To skip dairy, just grab a vegan ranch or swap ranch seasoning with lots of parsley, dill, and some extra garlic powder.
