01 -
Spray the air fryer basket evenly with nonstick cooking spray and preheat to 182°C.
02 -
Pat chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels. Combine the dry spice mix and toss wings in the mixture until evenly coated.
03 -
Place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket ensuring they do not touch. Stand drummettes upright along the edges if needed.
04 -
Cook wings at 182°C for 12 minutes. Remove basket and flip wings carefully using kitchen tongs. Return to air fryer.
05 -
Continue cooking at the same temperature for an additional 12 minutes.
06 -
Meanwhile, combine BBQ sauce, honey, and hot sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir frequently until warmed through, then remove from heat.
07 -
Increase air fryer temperature to 200°C. Flip wings once more and cook for 5-6 minutes until extra crispy, adjusting time for wing size as needed.
08 -
Transfer wings to a large bowl, pour approximately 75% of the warmed BBQ sauce over them, and toss gently to coat. Serve with remaining sauce on the side.
