Fruity Shortcake Blend (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ For the Frappuccino Base

01 - 1 cup any milk you prefer
02 - ¼ cup blended strawberries (can use fresh or thawed frozen)
03 - ¼ cup vanilla ice cream
04 - ¼ cup ice cubes
05 - 1 tablespoon sugar (make it sweeter if you want)
06 - ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

→ For Topping

07 - Whipped cream
08 - Sliced fresh strawberries
09 - Crushed shortbread cookies (if you want)

# How to Make It:

01 - Throw about ½ cup of trimmed strawberries into a blender until they're all mushy. Want it super smooth? Just push it through a strainer to get rid of the seeds.
02 - Drop milk, strawberry mash, vanilla ice cream, ice cubes, sugar, and vanilla extract in your blender. Run it on high till everything's smooth and there aren't any ice bits left - should take around 30-45 seconds.
03 - Too thick? Just add a bit more milk. Too runny? Toss in some extra ice or more ice cream and blend again until it feels right.
04 - Empty your strawberry mix into a tall glass. Add a big fluffy pile of whipped cream on top.
05 - Put some strawberry slices on the whipped cream and if you're feeling fancy, scatter some crumbled shortbread cookies for extra crunch and flavor.
06 - Stick a straw in and drink up right away while it's still cold and frosty. Don't wait too long or the ice will melt.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Making it at home means you can tweak how sweet it is and what goes in it, plus it'll save you money compared to buying one at a coffee shop.
02 - Want it to look super nice? Use a see-through cup with a dome lid to make it look like the ones from Starbucks.
03 - There's no caffeine in this drink, so kids and people staying away from coffee can enjoy it too.
