# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3-4 lbs beef chuck roast
02 - 1 big onion, cut into slices
03 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1 cup beef stock
05 - 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
06 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
08 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
10 - 1 teaspoon salt
11 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Sandwich Components

12 - 6-8 sandwich rolls
13 - Extra add-ons: pickles, slaw, raw onion rings

# How to Make It:

01 - Rub the beef chuck roast all over with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and cumin.
02 - Scatter the sliced onion and chopped garlic on the slow cooker or Dutch oven bottom. Set the seasoned beef on the onion bed. Mix in the stock, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Cover and let it cook on low for 8-10 hours (or at 300°F/150°C in a Dutch oven for 4-5 hours) until the meat pulls apart easily.
03 - Take the beef out and put it on a board. Pull the meat apart using two forks. Mix the shredded meat back into the juices in the cooker.
04 - You can warm up the sandwich rolls in your oven or on a grill until they're slightly golden if you want.
05 - Pile plenty of pulled beef onto each roll bottom. Top with pickles or slaw if you like. Put the top half on and push down slightly.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Always go for a fatty beef cut like chuck roast to keep your meat juicy and soft during the long cook time.
