01 -
Mix the warm milk with sugar and yeast in a big bowl. Wait about 5 minutes till it bubbles up. Throw in the soft butter, egg, salt, and 2 cups flour. Stir it all together, then slowly add the rest of the flour until you get a nice soft dough. Knead it for about 5-7 minutes till it feels smooth. Put your dough in a greased bowl, cover it up, and let it grow for about an hour or hour and a half till it's twice as big.
02 -
Grab a medium bowl and beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until it's all smooth and creamy. Set it off to the side for now.
03 -
Throw the strawberry bits, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a small pot. Cook everything on medium heat, stirring until it thickens up like jam. Make sure it's totally cool before you use it.
04 -
Flour your counter and roll the risen dough into a big 12×18-inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mix all over, leaving a tiny edge. Then spread the cooled strawberry mix on top. Roll it all up tightly from the long side.
05 -
Use a sharp knife to cut your log into 12 even pieces. Arrange them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover them up and let them puff up again for about 30-45 minutes.
06 -
Get your oven hot at 350°F (175°C). Stick the rolls in and bake for 25-30 minutes until they're golden brown and fully done inside.
07 -
Stir together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Pour it all over the warm rolls. They're best eaten right away.
